In Faisalabad District People staged a demonstration against 20-hour loadshedding here on Monday. The protesters burnt tyres on roads and suspended traffic in and around Kamalia for more than four hours. They said that they were facing several problems due to the loadshedding during Sehr and Iftar.
They said that the loadshedding had made their lives miserable. They were chanting slogans against the federal government. They were also carrying placards and banners.
Later, on assurance of the police officials, they ended their protest with an ultimatum to the federal minister for water and power to end the unprecedented loadshedding during the month of Ramazan, otherwise he should be ready to face the wrath of the people.
