Youth-studded Whites, who had also stunned the experienced side of Pakistan Greens the other day, did not face much resistance from Nepal, beating them 2-0 with the set score of 26-4 and 24-9 to end their campaign at the top with six points.

In the other match, Pakistan Greens defeated Afghanistan 2-0 with the set score of 16-10, 20-11 to end second.

But as a goodwill gesture, the organisers withdrew one of the hosts sides Pakistan Greens from the event to award the second position to Afghanistan and the third to Nepal.

Afghanistan had ended with two points by virtue of their only win against Nepal. Nepal, who had come to Pakistan to learn about beach handball failed to get any point.

President of the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) Lt General (retd) Syed Arif Hasan, Vice-chancellor of the Agriculture University, Faisalabad, Professor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan, and MNA Haji Mohammad Akram Ansari gave away medals and trophies to the leading teams.

Eight American delegates, who were visiting the varsity, also watched the final day matches.

Pakistan Handball Federation (PHF) secretary Mohammad Shafiq was also present on the occasion. This was the second time in two years that Pakistan hosted the event.
